Before the development of Bidadari estate, the area was a key stopover site for migrating birds passing through or wintering in Singapore. Bidadari Park preserves the green space within this estate and it continues to provide a haven for migrating birds. Aside from the usual resident birds such as sunbirds, bulbuls and doves, we may encounter migrant kingfishers, flycatchers, warblers and shrikes.
